Luscombe 8E
« AIRCRAFTThe Luscombe Model 8E is a two place side-by-side strut braced, high-wing cabin monoplane powered by a single eighty-five horsepower, four cylinder air-cooled engine.
The airplane was designed as a cross country airplane for the private flier, but was also used in training. It is equiped with dual controls (a stick, not a control yoke), but only has brakes on the left side. Wide doors on both sides of the fuselage make for easy entrance and exit.
The fuselage is a monoque structure made of aluminum. Luscombes are known to be very strong and durable due to the materials and workmanship used in their construction.
